Pappu Yadav response to death threats

Bihar MP Pappu Yadav, who was recently threatened with death, spoke out in the open on the situation. Following the threat, Yadav wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs warning that his life is in imminent danger and requested enhanced security. In his recent statement, he emphasized that no one—whether it be a Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or himself—is above democracy and the law. "Will you not protect the common man?" he questioned.

Yadav, in this regard, gave a perfect example of what he thought about the situation involving organized crime and intimidation of public personalities: "Just yesterday, they killed Baba Siddiqui, and now they threaten Salman Khan. Let them target who they want—whether it's Salman or anyone else—but I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities and raise awareness against these wrongdoings," he said. Yadav stated that personal grudges mean nothing to him, but he is concerned about his duty and raising these matters before the government.

"As Long as I'm Alive, I'll Speak the Truth"

Yadav also spoke directly to Lawrence Bishnoi saying that he does not care about knowing or having anything to do with those who aim to cause harm to people. "I live with people without any special security. If anyone wants to kill me, let him. I'll continue saying things for truth and against the attacks on people's rights and freedoms irrespective of the caste or religion," he declared. Yadav, as he asserted his commitment to working without fear, revealed that he valued the protection of ordinary citizens more than himself.

"Security Not Necessary for Truth

While he initially requested security, Yadav emphasized how this was being given out on political whims and fancies. "Vaguely speaking, the DG told me ten days ago about the security cover. I had written several letters to multiple SPs, but the security system should not only be used for the ones in power. If one lives by the truth, then possibly, one doesn't need any kind of protection," he challenged the government to rethink public safety approach. Yadav also added that attempts made to meet with the CM were obstructed, with allegations that the people close to the CM have contacts with mafias and make illegal land deals.

"Hemant Soren Should Be Elected Again as Chief Minister"

Yadyav, who claimed to be threatened regularly, clarified that he does not harbour any personal grudge against anyone and hopes the government maintains law and order for all. His priority now is to ensure safety for democratic states like Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Speaking in support of Jharkhand's Chief Minister, he said, "I hope Hemant Soren is re-elected as CM. I will continue my work in Jharkhand to safeguard democracy.".
