Bahadurgarh Factory Fire

A major fire broke out in a chemical factory in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, on Thursday afternoon, quickly spreading to two nearby factories. The fire, which started in an industrial unit located in HSIIDC Sector 16, escalated rapidly, engulfing a cardboard factory and a footwear manufacturing unit located adjacent to the chemical plant. The fire department deployed over six fire engines from Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Rohtak, and even Delhi to bring the situation under control.

Fire Spreads to Two Other Factories

The fire started around noon in the chemical factory situated at Plot No. 152, where various flammable chemicals were stored and manufactured. Due to the highly combustible materials present, the fire rapidly spread to the surrounding area, damaging the nearby cardboard and footwear factories. Both these units were gutted by the intense flames, leaving behind massive destruction.

Vehicles Damaged in the Blaze

In addition to the factories, two vehicles parked outside the premises also caught fire. Firefighters faced significant challenges in controlling the blaze as it spread to nearby areas. Electricity poles and wires outside the factories were also severely damaged due to the heat generated by the fire.

Cause of Fire Still Unknown

The Vice President of the Footwear Association, Narendra Chikara, confirmed that the fire began in the chemical factory and spread to the cardboard and footwear factories. Firefighters worked tirelessly for several hours to control the situation. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Authorities are investigating the matter, but no official cause has been identified yet.
