Bareilly: SP Manush Pareek Cracks Down on Faridnagar Thana with Surprise Raid, Following SSP Anurag Arya's Intel
In a shocking turn of events, an inspector with close ties to a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA has been found involved in a significant corruption scandal. Inspector Ramsevak, stationed at the Faridpur police station, was discovered sleeping on stacks of ₹500 notes, allegedly earned through bribery.
The incident came to light after IPS officer Manush Parik conducted a surprise raid on the Faridpur police station following reports that Ramsevak had accepted a bribe of ₹7 lakh to release two drug traffickers caught with 300 grams of smack. The traffickers were apprehended on Wednesday night, and two of them were released the next morning after the bribe was paid. However, one individual, Ashnoor, who couldn't pay the bribe, remained in custody.

Upon hearing these allegations, IPS Parik, under the direction of SSP Anurag Arya, reached the Faridpur station on Thursday morning, accompanied by Circle Officer (CO) Gaurav Singh. As they arrived, Inspector Ramsevak locked his office and scaled the wall to escape, evading the officers. Another individual, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, fled with him.
A search of Inspector Ramsevak's residence, led by CO Singh, uncovered ₹9.84 lakh hidden under a mattress and in a personal briefcase. The money, believed to be part of the bribe collection, was seized by the police.
Inspector Ramsevak, known for his close connection with a BJP MLA, had previously been stationed at several police stations, including in Pilibhit and Purampur. Since taking charge of the Faridpur station, notorious for drug trafficking, he allegedly amassed a significant amount of money through illegal means. His daily earnings were rumored to reach as high as ₹10 lakh.
A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Inspector Ramsevak, and SSP Arya has immediately suspended him. Multiple police teams have been formed to track down the inspector, who remains at large.
This case has drawn significant public attention, raising concerns about the deep-rooted corruption within the police force. The authorities are now intensifying efforts to apprehend the fugitive inspector and bring him to justice.
