The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its first list of 66 candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, including 11 women. Notable names in the list include former Chief Ministers Champai Soren, who will contest from Seraikela, and his son Babulal Soren, from Ghatsila. BJP has shown confidence in its sitting legislators while also introducing fresh faces. The NDA's seat-sharing formula has BJP contesting 68 seats, with AJSU, JD(U), and LJP sharing the rest.

BJP has released its list of 66 candidates for Jharkhand’s 2024 Assembly elections, featuring prominent leaders like former Chief Ministers Champai Soren and Babulal Marandi. In addition to seasoned leaders, new candidates such as IPS officer Arun Oraon (Sisai) and former ABVP president Dineshanand Goswami (Bahargoda) have also been given tickets. The elections will take place in two phases on November 13 and 20, with the BJP and NDA alliance aiming to reclaim power in the state.
