A wave of bomb threats has hit more than 20 flights operated by several Indian airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, Vistara, SpiceJet, Star Air, and Alliance Air. These threats, which began on Saturday morning, have caused significant disruptions to both domestic and international flight routes.

Among the targeted flights were IndiGo's services from Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul, and Vistara's flight from Udaipur to Mumbai. IndiGo confirmed security alerts on flights 6E 17 from Mumbai to Istanbul and 6E 11 from Delhi to Istanbul, as well as flight 6E 184 from Jodhpur to Delhi. The airline stated that it is working closely with security agencies and taking all necessary precautions to ensure passenger safety.

Vistara also reported a bomb threat on flight UK 624 from Udaipur to Mumbai. The flight was diverted to an isolation bay at Mumbai airport for thorough security checks before being cleared.

This follows a series of similar incidents earlier in the week, with Vistara reporting bomb threats on three international flights, one of which was diverted to Frankfurt. Authorities have so far determined most of the threats to be hoaxes, but investigations are ongoing.
