This information is going to be saved in the electronic toll payment system; hence, the toll is going to be deducted from the FASTag or the account of the traveler, making toll collectors or operators obsolete.

Seamless Tolling on Dwarka Expressway: NHAI’s New MLFF System

According to reports, the entire Dwarka Expressway with a length of 28-kilometers will have one toll point only, to be positioned near the border of Delhi-Gurugram approximately 9km from Delhi. Once after crossing the point, commuters can easily continue their way without a hitch, for the collection of toll has been set to be directly deducted through FASTag as people pass through sensors installed along the highway. This system allows for trouble-free travel that saves precious time by making it free from the queues at the toll booths.

If the account or FASTag of a traveler is less than the amount for making a toll payment, it will upload a photo along with the details of a vehicle to a portal on the vehicle. From that portal, travelers will have the option to check out the pending payments made due to tolls, paying them at their leisure.

NHAI plans to award this concession for three years of time to the highest earning bank and provide them authority over the operation and administration of the system. Here it would focus on ensuring that the toll operation does work out successfully, as of now, the proposed toll rates have not even been officially declared.
