In a significant case of religious conversion, the police in Ghaziabad’s Sewanagar area have arrested several individuals involved in allegedly converting Hindus to Christianity. The police acted on a complaint from a Hindu organization, which claimed that a group was attempting to convert a family from Hinduism to Christianity.
Tip-Off and Raid
Naveen Singh, the Ghaziabad city coordinator of the Dharm Jagran Samanvay Sangathan, reported that he received information on the evening of September 23 about an ongoing conversion ritual in a house in the Nandgram area. Singh and his team of activists visited the location, where they discovered a group of Christians allegedly performing a religious ritual to convert a Hindu family. Local residents also confirmed that conversion activities were taking place at the house.
Conversion-Related Material Seized
Upon receiving the tip-off, police from the Nandgram police station arrived at the scene and recovered religious materials related to Christian conversions. Naveen Singh filed a formal complaint against Gerald Mathews Massey, a physical training instructor (PTI) at Ingraham School, and four unidentified individuals. The police have registered a case against them.
