Ghaziabad: Under ACP Ritesh Tripathi's Direction, Kotwali Police Uncover Shocking Love Jihad Case, Send Accused to Jail

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: The Ghaziabad Police have arrested a man accused of marrying a female doctor under the pretense of conversion, in what is being described as a "Love Jihad" case.

Accused Pretended to Convert to Hinduism

The accused allegedly pretended to convert to Hinduism in 2018 in order to marry the woman. Following their marriage, the couple had a son, whom the accused named Ali, and he also conducted the ritual of circumcision (Sunnat) for the child, which raised concerns.

 

Case Filed on Complaint of Doctor’s Mother

The case was registered on August 13 at the local police station based on a complaint from the doctor’s mother. According to the police investigation, the accused, identified as Abdurrahman from Kithore in Meerut, had allegedly held the woman captive.

The police are continuing their investigation into the matter to uncover further details and ensure justice is served.

ACP Ritesh Tripathi stated that the accused has been sent to jail and strict action will be taken in accordance with the law.
