Gujarat: Black Magic Scam Exposed in Banaskantha! Two Held for Cheating Locals

Banaskantha, Gujarat – In a significant breakthrough, the Banaskantha police have arrested two individuals who were running a fraudulent scheme under the guise of "Vashikaran," a form of black magic, in Disa. The suspects, identified as Pintu Kishor Bhargav Joshi and Rohit Budharam Bhargav from Ahmedabad, had been operating in the area for the past one and a half years, renting a room in Disa and luring unsuspecting victims into their trap.

The duo advertised their services through pamphlets, claiming to provide solutions to various problems through "Vashikaran" and other mystical practices. They would dress in saffron robes and create an atmosphere with religious symbols and deity photos to deceive their clients. The accused reportedly charged different amounts for their services, such as ₹27,000 for performing rituals to cause harm, ₹11,000 for paralysis, and ₹11,000 for "Vashikaran."

The fraudulent activities came to light when a local lawyer saw one of their pamphlets and decided to investigate. The lawyer contacted the number provided and met the accused at their rented room, where he was quoted various prices for their so-called services. Suspicious of their intentions, the lawyer reported the matter to the Disa South Police, leading to the arrest of the two fraudsters.

During police interrogation, the accused admitted to defrauding at least 15 people. They confessed to charging initial booking amounts from their victims and later demanding more money for the completion of their fraudulent services.

The Banaskantha SP, Akshayraj Makwana, confirmed the arrests and urged the public to remain vigilant against such fraudulent activities. He emphasized that anyone who encounters similar scams should report them to the police immediately to prevent further deceit.

The police have taken the accused into custody and are continuing their investigation. The authorities have also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities related to such fraudulent practices.
