Tragic Road Accident in Hardoi: Bolero-Bus Collision Claims 5 Lives, Leaves 4 Injured in Late-Night Crash
HARDOI, UP – A horrific road accident late Sunday night claimed the lives of five people and left four others critically injured in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district. The collision between a Bolero and a bus occurred at Gauri Nagar crossing in the Mallawan police station area.
The Bolero was on its way from a wedding in Kanpur, while the bus was returning from a wedding in Baghauli. The accident was at high speed, and both vehicles were very badly mangled in the crash.
Casualties and Rescue Operations
Five persons lost their lives instantly due to the mishap, while four are badly injured and admitted to a local hospital immediately. The authorities confirmed that bodies have been sent for postmortem examination. An investigation is underway in this regard.
Police Action and Public Concerns
The on-scene police responded rapidly and took care to divert traffic along with sending injured people to the hospital. The preliminary investigations seem to suggest that the cause of the accident might have been due to speeding. The Gauri Nagar crossing has been questioned by the residents, who believe that there is a lack of proper traffic management in the area.
