A new case of spying has come to light from Haryana. After the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, now a 26-year-old man named Armaan has been arrested in Haryana’s Nuh district for allegedly spying for Pakistan. The police say that Armaan shared sensitive information about the Indian Army using WhatsApp and social media. This arrest raises serious concerns about security and the misuse of social media platforms.

Haryana Man Armaan Arrested for Spying for Pakistan

Police in Nuh district, Haryana arrested Armaan on Saturday after receiving a tip-off from central probe agencies. The police found that Armaan was passing on secret information about the Indian Army and military activities to Pakistan. A staff member at the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi disseminated the information. This instance demonstrates how individuals might share private information by abusing chat apps and social media.

Using Social Media and WhatsApp to Share Information

Armaan was communicating with Pakistani connections via WhatsApp and other social media sites, sending them pictures, videos, and discussions. Police discovered unmistakable proof of these conversations when they searched his cell phone.

Security officials are concerned because using such widely used apps makes it simpler to transmit information covertly. According to a senior police officer, Armaan is the subject of a complaint filed under the Official Secrets Act of 1923 and other spying statutes. This demonstrates how grave the accusations against him are.

Security Concerns After Jyoti Malhotra Arrest

This arrest comes soon after the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was also accused of spying for Pakistan. Together, these cases highlight how some individuals use their connections and online platforms to share secret or sensitive information. Since then, the police and security forces have become more vigilant in their efforts to prevent similar operations.
