Indian Government Expands Subsidy Program to Include Chana and Masoor Dal Under ‘Bharat’ Brand

In an effort to curb rising prices and provide relief to the public, the Indian government has expanded its subsidy program to include whole Chana and Masoor Dal under the ‘Bharat’ brand. This move, announced on Wednesday, is part of the government's broader initiative to make essential food items more affordable for the common people.

Expansion of the Subsidy Program

Previously, the subsidy program focused on making essential pulses available at lower prices. With the inclusion of whole Chana and Masoor Dal, the government aims to ensure that citizens have access to these staples without feeling the burden of increasing costs. The subsidized pulses will be available in retail markets across the country.
