A man shot four dogs with an air rifle in broad daylight in the Singapore Township area of Lasudia, resulting in the death of one dog and injuries to the others. The incident, which took place during the day, was captured on CCTV footage.
Following the shooting, activists from People for Animals (PFA) filed a formal complaint at the local police station. The deceased dog underwent a post-mortem examination, and a report was subsequently submitted to the police.
An FIR has been lodged against the accused, identified as Pankaj Bageshwar, under Section 325 of the BNS Act and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The police are investigating the case further.
