Isha Gramotsavam 2025 Grand Finale to Feature Sadhguru, Saina Nehwal, and Mansukh Mandaviya

The 17th edition of Isha Gramotsavam, India’s biggest rural sports festival, will conclude on September 21, 2025, at Adiyogi, Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. Over 63,000 participants from 35,000 villages joined the event. The finale will feature Sadhguru, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Saina Nehwal, and other sports icons, along with cultural programs and a prize pool worth ₹67 lakh.

Coimbatore: The 17th edition of Isha Gramotsavam, India’s largest rural sports festival, will culminate in a grand finale on September 21, 2025, at the iconic Adiyogi, Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore. The closing ceremony will be graced by Sadhguru, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, ace shuttler Saina Nehwal, chess Grandmaster Vaishali Rameshbabu, and para-Olympian Bhavina Patel

The tournament, which began on August 16, witnessed participation across six states—Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, and Odisha—along with the Union Territory of Puducherry. This year’s edition featured 63,220 players, including 12,227 women, spread across 5,472 teams from more than 35,000 villages

Semi-Finals and Finale

In the men’s category, 24 volleyball teams, and in the women’s category, 18 throwball teams advanced to the semi-finals. Differently-abled athletes will also showcase their skills in a para-volleyball match during the finale

Prize Pool and Cultural Festivities

The winners will share a prize pool of ₹67 lakh, with champions in both men’s and women’s categories taking home ₹5 lakh each. The runners-up will receive cash awards ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹50,000. The finale will also feature traditional dance and theatre performances like Tamil Nadu’s Valli Kummi, Kerala’s Panchari Melam, Telangana’s Kusadi dance, and Karnataka’s Puli Vesham. Over 30 food stalls offering authentic South Indian cuisine will add to the celebrations

Women’s Participation

Highlighting the event’s unique approach, Sadhguru shared on X, “It is most heartening that 12,227 women are participating this year. Many are playing for the first time in their lives. Their spirited and carefree involvement is a joy to witness”
