The Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) has been put in the dock with the report by the NGO "Call for Justice" highlighting instances of discrimination against non-Muslims and forceful religious conversions inside the campus of the university. Faculty Discrimination: In this regard, it was also mentioned that a nonMuslim Assistant Professor was taunted and insulted by his Muslim colleagues. According to the report, a Scheduled Caste faculty member was reportedly deprived of simple office facilities and discriminated against compared to their Muslim counterparts.
Deriding the Administrative Employees: There is a claim that an upper-level non-Muslim official, assistant controller of examinations, was ridiculed for being an assistant controller of exams even though he was not a Muslim.
Issues among Tribal Students: Tribal students were said to be living in a poisonous environment. Many reported leaving the university as they could not live with aggressive behavior throughout.
The worst part of this report is the allegation of being forced to convert for religion. A particular incident reported a professor forcing his students to be converted to Islam by exploiting benefits at an academic level.

Reaction over Allegations of Conversions: University officials mentioned that there is no evidence to prove these conversion allegations, but strict action will be taken if sound proof of this sort is discovered.
