Jehanabad: Teacher Abducted in Broad Daylight, Rescued by Police Within 3 Hours; 5 Kidnappers Arrested

In a dramatic incident, a government school teacher was abducted in broad daylight by criminals in a filmy style while on his way to school in an auto-rickshaw. The incident caused panic in the surrounding area. The abduction took place near NN College in the Nagar police station area. Upon receiving news of the abduction, the police swung into action, with officers from five police stations setting up roadblocks and checkpoints.

In a swift operation, the Nagar police rescued the abducted teacher, Dharmendra Kumar, within three hours from Gaurakshani Mohalla. They arrested five kidnappers along with a Scorpio vehicle used in the crime. The arrested criminals are being interrogated by the police.

The incident occurred when the teacher, who works at the Rajkrit Madhya Vidyalaya Kinari, was on his way to school after getting off a train. Near SN College, the kidnappers, who were lying in wait, forcibly dragged him out of the auto-rickshaw, assaulted him, and fled in their Scorpio vehicle. The brazen abduction in a busy area created a sensation.

Acting swiftly on the directives of senior police officers, the district's borders were sealed, and all vehicles were checked. The police located the Scorpio near Gaurakshani Mohalla, rescued the teacher, and arrested the five kidnappers, all of whom are from Gaya district. Among the arrested is a driver from Dial 112 of the Gaya Kotwali police station.

The abducted teacher, Dharmendra Kumar, also hails from Gaya. He stated that the abduction was related to a land transaction dispute. He expressed gratitude for the police's prompt action that saved his life.

SDPO Rajeev Kumar Singh confirmed the incident, stating that the teacher was abducted by criminals in a Scorpio vehicle while on his way to school. The police acted immediately and rescued the teacher within an hour, arresting all five involved kidnappers. The investigation is ongoing.
