Maharashtra Elections 2024 LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a key rally at Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mumbai, on Thursday ahead of the crucial Maharashtra election set for November 20. The counting of votes will take place on November 23.
Besides PM Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and other party supporters across the state are expected to participate in the rally. Preparations for the congregation have intensified in the metropolis.
Rivalry between the ruling BJP and the Shiv Sena (UBT) has become sharp as both Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi alliances are set to start their campaigns. BJP leader and Deputy CM, Devendra Fadnavis accused Uddhav Thackeray of playing "poor-mechanical game" as he whines about election officials inspecting his bag. Shiv Sena (UBT) retaliated with a video clip of the handbag inspection charge, terming the Election Commission as "Compromised Commission" and terming the actions of the poll body "shameless".
