Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) during a rally in Dhule, Maharashtra. He defined MVA as a car without wheels or brakes, signifying the internal fights for who should be the pilot on the wheels.

Modi asserted that the politicians must have an aim when entering into the political fray and expressed that he and his supporters see people as god and came into politics to serve them whereas the case is, he criticized MVA and condemned their looting agenda as the primary motive of the political agenda. We make no bones about the fact that corruption and stagnation were bequeathed to the nation by MVA during their tenure, he said. They even stopped the development that was being carried out by many, such as the Metro and the Vadavan Port he added. Concluding, he said it had brought only personal wealth to the MVA government but restrained the overall development for the people of Maharashtra.

He further added that MVA leaders have used derogatory language while referring to the treatment of women. He appealed to the women of Maharashtra not to be deceived by MVA and stressed that the empowerment of women is necessary for the growth of Maharashtra and India. He said that society at large moves ahead when the well-being of women is achieved. Women's issues have been accorded prime importance by the centre in its decision-making in the last ten years.

Claiming the Congress party wants to shut down the Ladli Bahna scheme which has supported women, Modi attacked the Congress saying that they had tried to capture initiative through litigation and warned that MVA cannot pardon the women of Maharashtra.
