Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, AAP convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister, personally initiated the first registration for the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' in Kidwai Nagar on Monday. This new scheme by the Delhi government aims to empower women across the city. Kejriwal visited a household, collected voter ID details, and explained the registration process.

Kejriwal's Personal Involvement in Registration

During his visit, Kejriwal emphasized that the scheme is available to women who are registered voters in Delhi. He guided women to give a missed call on the dedicated number, after which they received a registration code via SMS. Kejriwal handed out registration slips personally and ensured that the process was seamless.

Interaction with Women

Kejriwal engaged with women at the location, asking if they were satisfied with the AAP government’s schemes. Their affirmative responses reflected their support for the initiative. Kejriwal also requested permission to place an AAP party sticker on their house, which was warmly accepted.

City-Wide Registration Drive

The Delhi government has launched the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' across the city to ensure women can easily register for its benefits. This initiative is seen as a step towards women’s empowerment and enhancing their role in governance.
