The vision does not end by crossing Madhya Pradesh: it will cover the eastern Amarkantak to Alirajpur in the west. Officially named the Narmada Pragati Path, it crosses 12 districts of Madhya Pradesh and reaches out another 150 kilometers from Alirajpur into Gujarat either at Bharuch or Ahmedabad. Lots of asphalt and adventure!

Expected to cost ₹31,000 crore, this 8-lane expressway is expected to connect Gujarat via Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh. Even as tendering hasn't begun yet, the authorities are already eyeing completion by 2028-29. There are proposals to even link it with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to make it a superhighway!
