New ₹120 Crore KSRTC Bus Stand Opens in Davangere; Four New Routes Launched

DAVANGERE — A new KSRTC bus stand has officially opened in Davangere, built at a cost of ₹120 crore under the Smart City initiative. In conjunction with the launch of the bus stand, four new bus routes have also been introduced, providing much-anticipated service to the public.

District in-charge minister S.S. Mallikarjun inaugurated the facility and the new routes on his birthday. He stated, "This state-of-the-art bus stand is a result of a 75% grant from the Smart City project and 25% from KSRTC. The availability of such modern facilities will bring joy to the residents of Davangere."

The new bus stand features essential amenities for the public, ensuring convenience for travelers. Two Rajahamsa buses and two express buses have also been made available for public use. "Passengers and KSRTC staff must prioritize cleanliness at the stand," Mallikarjun emphasized.

The newly launched routes include:

Two Rajahamsa buses operating between Davangere and Honnalli, Shivamogga.
Two express buses running from Bharamasagara to Sirigere Math and from Channagiri to Dharmasthala, Subrahmanya.
There is a demand to name the new bus stand after former MLA Pampapati, but the board of directors has yet to make a final decision on this matter.
