With the moment a 5-month pregnant woman shook the internet cleaning her deceased husband's bed at the hospital with bloodstains on it, an incidence from Dindori in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral and created shock waves on the social media. Incidentally, questions regarding the treatment of the grieving families in the health care institutions by the authorities are to be noted while the authorities have sounded widespread condemnation.

The video, which flashed across social media yesterday, captures the lady, Rośni, brushing off the blood of her husband from the hospital bed with a tissue and cloth. Her husband Shivraj lost his life after he was shot in the brutal land dispute in their village of Lalpur. Shivraj was among four people who fell at the brutal hands of others. It is said that he was admitted to Gadashray Health Center for treatment after he was taken there, where he succumbed to injuries.

The Dindori Case of the Inhibited Land Dispute

Thursday saw a heated land dispute turn violent in Lalpur village, turning out to be a tragedy. Four family members suffered the day's wrath as Shivraj and his father were shot dead. Two others are fighting for their lives as they suffered critical injuries. A very stern dispute related to lands in rural India and how it often turns out to be a dangerous conflict.

For instance, after Shivraj's death, the sob-filled episode was recorded at the health centre where his wife, who is pregnant, is seen cleaning up the bed. The act videoed and spread far and wide mainly has sparked public outcry as viewers accused the lack of support and sympathy toward the grieving woman. The video of that activity has made people start questioning compassion and humanity while handling a trauma situation.

The Hospital Response to the Viral Video

The hospital management reacted to the video. Dr. Chandrashekhar Tekam member of Gadashray Health Center said that nobody instructed Rośni that she has to clean the bed. According to Dr. Tekam, Rośni herself wants to clean up her blood because she wants the blood to be preserved as evidence, but nobody told her. The hospital claims they had adequate staff and were not insensible to her plight. Also, Dr. Tekam said no complaints were received from Rośni or her family regarding the hospital's treatment of the incident.

Social Media Reactions and Public Outcry

The video of Rośni's actions has created heated debate about Rośni's acts online, as shocked users, annoyed and disappointed by lack of sensibility to a pregnant lady who is also a grieving mother, commented saying "humanity has died" and asked whether there is no humanity left in hospitals. The case has become a 'hot topic of debate' since viewers are calling for more sensitivity and humanity in healthcare practices.
