In Uttar Pradesh, Principal Beats Clerk with Shoe After Fight in Hathras College, CCTV Video Goes Viral

GS Inter College at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh had witnessed an unfortunate and a disturbing argument between the principal and a clerk, Baboo, that had culminated into physical violence after Baboo went to the principal's office to get his attendance register signed.

The matter had begun over some disagreement and escalated quickly, as the principal got up from his chair while still in a fit of rage and assaulted Baboo physically.

In the incident, the whole scenario was captured by CCTV cameras, and a video of the clash quickly went viral on social media, which flared much anger among people. In the footage, the principal can be seen slapping Baboo first, and then in a very strange reaction, stomping on his head with shoes. It took long before the staff members of the college could stop the two men fighting. The two were shouting back at each other like a common square and using abuses.

This has raised serious questions regarding the type of behavior in a workplace and the conduct of educational authorities. The violent confrontation in an educational institution, particularly with the person holding a position like that of a principal and the staff member, has brought public attention to the need for better resolution of conflict and professional decorum within education premises. The spread of the video also prompted calls for disciplinary action and investigation into the matter, with many regarding it as a concern amidst increasing workplace violence.
