Rahul Gandhi Compares Modi Govt to Mahabharata's Chakravyuh in Fiery Lok Sabha Speech

New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, participated in the budget discussion and took the opportunity to criticize the Modi government by referencing the Mahabharata. Gandhi compared the current political scenario to the ancient epic, stating that just as Abhimanyu was trapped and killed in a Chakravyuh by six warriors in Kurukshetra, today's farmers, women, and the youth are similarly ensnared.
Rahul Gandhi elaborated, saying, "Thousands of years ago in Haryana's Kurukshetra, Abhimanyu was killed in a Chakravyuh by six people. A Chakravyuh is filled with fear and violence. When I researched the Chakravyuh, I found out it also has another name, Padma Vyuha, which is shaped like a lotus. In the 21st century, a new Chakravyuh has been formed, symbolized by the lotus, which the Prime Minister proudly displays on his chest. What happened to Abhimanyu in the Chakravyuh is now happening to farmers, mothers, and sisters."
Gandhi went on to draw parallels between the Mahabharata characters and current political figures, saying, "Dronacharya, Karna, Kripacharya, Kritavarma, Ashwatthama, and Shakuni surrounded and killed Abhimanyu. Today, there are six people controlling the Chakravyuh: Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval, Ambani, and Adani."
Highlighting the economic impact of the government's policies, Gandhi stated, "During the COVID-19 pandemic, you destroyed small businesses, leading to widespread unemployment. The Finance Minister is here; what have you done for the youth? You mentioned internships, but this seems like a joke. You claimed it's in 500 companies across India. First, you broke their legs, and now you are trying to bandage them."
Gandhi also addressed the issue of exam paper leaks, which he described as a significant problem for the youth. "Paper leaks are a major issue today. Wherever you go, unemployment is there. On one side, there's the Chakravyuh of paper leaks, and on the other, the Chakravyuh of unemployment. In the past ten years, there have been 70 paper leaks. For the first time, you have trapped our soldiers in the Agniveer scheme. There's not a single rupee allocated for Agniveer pensions in this budget."
Rahul Gandhi's speech highlighted his concerns about the government's handling of the economy, unemployment, and the treatment of farmers and the youth, drawing on historical and mythological references to make his points.
