Bus Accident in Siddharthnagar Leaves 3 Dead and 22 Injured in Tragic Incident

In a tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar district on Friday evening, three people lost their lives, and 22 others were injured when a bus carrying 53 devotees fell into a canal. The incident occurred around 6 PM when the bus was returning from a Mundan ceremony at Balrampur’s Devi Patan Temple.

The accident happened near Charigahwa canal as the bus driver lost control while trying to avoid hitting a cyclist. The bus veered off the road and plunged into the canal, leading to chaos and panic among the passengers.

Local villagers quickly informed the authorities, and rescue operations were initiated immediately. The police and administrative teams arrived at the scene, using cranes to pull the bus out of the canal. Among the deceased were cyclist Mangniram (50), Ajay Sharma (14), and Ghamma (65), all of whom died on the spot.

Of the 22 injured, two are in critical condition and have been admitted to the district hospital. The others are receiving treatment at a nearby primary health center. This tragic incident comes just two months after another fatal bus accident in the district, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

Authorities are investigating the incident further to determine if any additional safety measures could have prevented this tragedy.
