UP Officer's Dog 'Tommy' Missing, Reward Announced for Search
The unique search operation in the town of Bahjoi, Sambhal district, Uttar Pradesh, is currently in search of "Tommy," the favorite pet dog of the municipal officer Bhuparam Verma who had gone missing on October 21. Tommy's disappearance became a hot topic for everyone to discuss in which every effort is being taken to bring him home. In a strange twist of events, posters are stuck on e-rickshaws, while persistent declarations through loudspeakers continue to be made all around the town so that its residents can be informed and help in the search.

The incentives, in this case, have been declared by Officer Verma to the amount of ₹2,000 to anyone who may locate Tommy and return him to his home safely. Details such as the name, color, and the color of his collar are included in the announcements so that people recognize Tommy if they spot him wandering around in the neighborhood. Multiple pictures of Tommy are also posted on the e-rickshaws so that people recognize him when they see him around in the neighborhood.

The story took more hype when people actually heard those announcements echoing within Bahjoi. Municipality officer Verma explains that when the front door of Tommy's residence had been open, Tommy ventured outside the door and has not come back since, but family and local inhabitants are continuing their search from that date.
Even though nine days have passed since Tommy was away, no information about this case has emerged. As all this peculiar search efforts on Tommy, people just show interest and it just turns out to be hot talk as people in their small town are amazed how the officer's pet makes his way back home as well. Many people tend to sympathize with one another as they understand the importance of their families for those animals and appreciate the amount of effort being made. For now, the community waits on tenterhooks, expecting that Tommy will soon be returned to his family unharmed.
