UP Weather Update: Fog, Rain, and Cooling Temperatures Begin Today

The weather in Uttar Pradesh is set to change in the coming days, with light to heavy rainfall expected in various districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the upcoming weather conditions.
Change in Weather: Rain and Drop in Temperature
A western disturbance moving towards northwest India will bring changes to the weather in Uttar Pradesh. Light rain along with drizzle is expected in the Terai and Eastern Uttar Pradesh on Sunday and Monday. Along with this, a slight drop in temperature by up to 2 degrees Celsius is anticipated, leading to a chillier atmosphere. On Saturday, people across the state felt a slight chill in the morning and evening air, and the usual warmth of the sun was missing.
According to Atul Kumar Singh, a scientist at the Regional Meteorological Centre in Lucknow, the effects of this weather change will lead to a rise in nighttime temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two to three days. However, after the western disturbance passes on Tuesday, there will be a further dip in minimum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. Following Wednesday, the Terai and Eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to experience dense fog.
Temperature Record on Saturday
On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded in the state was 29.7°C in Prayagraj, followed by 29°C in Orai and 28°C in Varanasi. As for the lowest temperatures, Meerut recorded the lowest at 6.3°C, Bareilly at 6.4°C, and Ayodhya at 6.5°C.
