IMD Weather Forecast: Delhi-NCR Braces for Bad Weather, Find Out Where It Will Rain Today
Monsoon clouds continue to bring heavy downpours across India. Today, Delhi-NCR experienced more rainfall, with the capital seeing continuous showers since the morning. Noida and surrounding areas are witnessing dense clouds and cool winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 35 km/h. On Friday, Delhi also received significant rainfall. Several other states, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh, have been receiving heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain alerts for 28 states, including Delhi.
Today's Weather in Delhi
According to the IMD, today's weather in Delhi will remain stormy with a yellow alert for rainfall. The capital has already been receiving showers since morning, and moderate to heavy rain is expected throughout the day. On Friday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6°C and a minimum of 24°C due to rainfall. Today's maximum temperature is expected to stay around 32°C as well.
Heavy Rain Expected in Several States
The IMD has predicted extremely heavy rainfall in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan today. Additionally, moderate rainfall is expected in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Tripura.
As monsoon rains continue, authorities are urging people in the affected areas to stay cautious, especially in regions facing heavy rainfall and potential flooding.
