Punjab Tycoon Donates Big: Rs 21 Crore To Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam-Run Trust For Free Healthcare
In a remarkable act of generosity, a Punjab-based industrialist, Rajinder Gupta, has donated Rs 21 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's (TTD) SV Pranadana Trust. The trust is dedicated to providing free medical treatment to underprivileged patients suffering from life-threatening diseases.
The donation was made during a visit to Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, where Gupta, accompanied by his family, handed over the cheque to TTD's additional executive officer, Ch Venkaiah Chowdary. The SV Pranadana Trust operates through TTD-run hospitals, including the temple body’s maternity hospital, ensuring that those in need receive essential medical care at no cost.
The temple body expressed its gratitude for this significant contribution, highlighting the impact it will have on supporting the healthcare needs of the poor.
