India bids to host 2036 Olympics, All you need to know
India has now formally plunged into the contest to host the 2036 Olympics. This is after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India was eager to host the Olympic Games when the country hosted the IOC session successfully last October, in a historic stride for Indian sports. Modi indeed reiterated this commitment on Independence Day, August 15, from Red Fort, stating that India is ready to take up the global event.
India Enters Bid to Host 2036 Olympics
The Olympics for 2024 is already scheduled for Paris, 2028 for Los Angeles, and Brisbane, Australia, for the year 2032. For the year 2036, the host is yet to be decided. Recently, IANS published a report stating that the Indian chance of getting the Olympics 2036 have gained impetus as Indian Olympic Association (IOA) put in a formal letter of intent to the IOC on October 1, 2024.
This is the first official bid that India has made, though for some time there have been rumors that India might host the Olympics in 2036. Officially, it puts India on the line and marks a new beginning in India's commitment toward the world stage of sports.

Hosting an Olympics is not an easy project to achieve. The country has done the first hurdle, that is, expressions of interest, and India successfully did so. Hosting takes considerable length and perseverance with proper consideration and by meeting the rules of the IOC. Now, since the process goes on bidding for the Olympic Games, India will continually work to portray its capability to hosting the Olympic Games successfully during 2036.
