Unique Wedding Incident in Bihar: Groom Refuses to Marry After Bride is Switched

These days, it is the wedding season in Bihar, and many wedding-related incidents come to light. However, a unique case has emerged in Muzaffarpur where the bride was switched before the garland exchange ceremony, leaving the groom shattered. He refused to go ahead with the wedding and created a commotion, which eventually led to the matter reaching the police station. At the station, the bride’s family explained their family’s compulsion to the officer in charge. The officer then persuaded the groom and his family to agree to the wedding. Eventually, the groom married his preferred bride, and the couple was blessed for a happy married life before being sent off.

The entire incident took place in Dhoom Nagar Bakhri, under the Baruraj police station. During the garland exchange ceremony, the groom refused to marry upon seeing a different bride on stage. This caused an uproar in the middle of the wedding. Groom TunTun Kumar, from Gaighat in Muzaffarpur, arrived at Dhoom Nagar in Baruraj with his procession, accompanied by music and dance. The groom and his procession were warmly welcomed and treated with refreshments. However, at the crucial moment during the garland exchange, the groom saw that the bride on stage was not the one he had chosen.

The groom discovered that the bride’s family was attempting to marry him to the bride’s younger sister instead of his chosen bride. Recognizing this, he refused to proceed and insisted on marrying the bride he had originally chosen. This led to chaos in the middle of the wedding. Late at night, after receiving the information, Baruraj Station President Sanjeev Kumar Dubey arrived at the scene with his team and brought both parties to the station. After hours of mediation by the station president, the groom finally married his chosen bride at a temple. The wedding rituals, including the bride's farewell, were performed in the presence of the police. Station President Sanjeev Kumar Dubey himself blessed the newlyweds with good fortune and sent them off to start their new life.
