Kondurli Villagers Begin Indefinite Hunger Strike Against Sarpanch Over Construction of New Panchayat Building; Woman Hospitalized Due to Deteriorating Health

In Kondurli village, located in the Pavani taluka of Bhandara district, residents have launched an indefinite hunger strike in protest against the local Sarpanch. The dispute revolves around the decision to build a new Gram Panchayat building on a different plot of land instead of the existing one, which the villagers strongly oppose. They demand that the new building be constructed on the site of the old Panchayat building.

Despite the villagers' objections, the Sarpanch has not reconsidered the plan, prompting the villagers to take drastic action. The hunger strike has been ongoing, and tensions have escalated as one woman’s health deteriorated due to the protest. She was rushed to Pavani Hospital late last night for medical treatment.

The villagers remain steadfa st in their demand, stating that the hunger strike will continue until construction is commenced on the original site of the Gram Panchayat building. The protest has drawn attention to the ongoing dispute, with residents vowing to persist until their voices are heard.
