Hapur Shock: Dowry Case Filed by Mayawati’s Niece; Husband Accused of Hiding Impotency

Case registered on court orders, FIR includes serious allegations of dowry, abuse and deception.
In a shocking legal development from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief Mayawati’s niece, Alis, has filed a dowry harassment case against seven members of her in-laws' family, including her husband and Hapur Municipality Chairperson Pushpa Devi, who is also her mother-in-law.
FIR Details: Dowry Demand of ₹50 Lakh & a Flat
According to the FIR, Alis married Vishal, son of Shripal Singh, on November 9, 2023, at Hotel Hyatt, New Delhi. Soon after the marriage, her husband and in-laws began demanding ₹50 lakh and a flat in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. She alleges that the family cited her relation to Mayawati as the reason for demanding such a huge amount.
Husband Accused of Impotency
Alis further claims that Vishal, her husband, is impotent due to steroid injections he allegedly took for bodybuilding. She says this medical issue was known to his family before the marriage but was hidden from her. Their relationship reportedly deteriorated due to this, and the couple is now living separately.

IPC/BNS Charges Filed
The Hapur police registered the case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 85, 316, 318, 111, 115, 74, 75, 76, 64, 351, 352 W 3/4, and 173 (4). An investigation is underway and legal proceedings will follow.
