Moradabad Jail officials suspended for allowing unauthorized meeting with Sambhal violence accused.
The jailer and deputy jailer of Moradabad Central Jail have been suspended in the case of allegedly facilitating unofficial meetings between local Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders with the accused involved in the Sambhal violence. The two were suspended after it was reportedly revealed that SP leaders met arrested individuals without following the jail manual, which sets strict guidelines for inmate visitation.
The authorities further revealed that the jail superintendent of Moradabad has been held responsible, and an official request for further action against him has been forwarded to the state government. The incident had raised serious issues related to possible violations of the jail protocols, raising immediate disciplinary measures.
According to reports, local SP leaders entered the jail to meet the accused without proper clearance or adherence to the legal procedures. This unauthorized meeting, which took place amid the ongoing investigation into the Sambhal violence, has sparked a political controversy and calls for stricter enforcement of jail regulations.
The suspension of the jail officials is a very strong signal to ensure that all protocols are followed in handling sensitive cases. The state government has vowed to investigate further and take appropriate actions to prevent any further violations.
