Several users have been reporting the bug on X and sharing screenshots of their green screens stating that their version of WhatsApp Beta freezes frequently and keeps going green repeatedly. So far, WhatsApp hasn't issued an official statement on the bug, but the impact is so strong that it needs to be fixed soon.
Here are a few solutions that could be used to manage the bug until an official fix arrives:
1. Exit Beta Testing: Leave the WhatsApp Beta for the version that is not beta. After doing that, some people stop getting the issue whereas others report to have solved that problem by doing just that.
2. Access via Other Devices: Access WhatsApp on your other devices like laptop, tablet or even iPhone through WhatsApp Web.
3. Reinstall WhatsApp: Uninstall WhatsApp and download the latest stable version, do not forget to save chat history by sending chats to Google Cloud before removing them completely to prevent losing data.
4. Wait for the update : Meta is expected to soon release an update with a fixed bug.
