Telangana Train Accident: Freight Train Derails Near Peddapalli, Over 37 Passenger Trains Cancelled

A freight train carrying iron ore derailed near Peddapalli in Telangana, impacting rail services across the region. The South Central Railway (SCR) informed on Wednesday that 37 passenger trains have been cancelled, and more than 10 others have been diverted due to the accident.

Details of the Incident

According to officials, 11 wagons of the freight train derailed late Tuesday night between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam. Due to ongoing repair work on the affected tracks, SCR has cancelled 37 trains scheduled for Wednesday and diverted over 10 others. Additionally, some train timings have been revised for the day.
