Bangladesh: Attack on Lawyer Defending Hindu Guru Chinmoy Krishna Das Amid Rising Persecution of Minorities
Bangladesh: Attacks on the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh have been on the rise. The latest incident has highlighted how bad the situation is. A lawyer who was defending the imprisoned Hindu religious leader and prominent ISKCON figure, Chinmoy Krishna Das, was brutally attacked by Islamic extremists. The attackers inflicted severe injuries on Roy, which left him in critical condition and required intensive care. ISKCON Kolkata spokesperson Radha Raman Das shared this information through a social media post on 'X' on Monday night.
As per ISKCON Kolkata spokesperson, the only "crime" of Raman Roy was to represent Chinmoy Krishna Das in the court. They did not just destroy his house but even violently assaulted him and have sent him struggling for life in the ICU.
Please pray for Advocate Ramen Roy. His only 'fault' was defending Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu in court.

Chinmoy Krishna Das, a prominent leader of ISKCON in Bangladesh, had earlier taken part in a rally in Rangpur protesting the persecution of the Hindu community. He was later charged with treason and arrested in Dhaka. On November 26, the Dhaka court rejected his bail petition, and further hearings are scheduled. The charges are against his participation in a rally organized on October 25 at Chittagong, where he addressed the gathering in support of the eight-point demands presented by the Sanatan Jagran Manch. In the course of the rally, a saffron flag with the words 'Ami Sanatani' was hoisted at the 'Azadi Stambh' or Freedom Pillar, and charges were brought against him for insulting the national flag. He was arrested.
The rising persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh has made all Hindu communities in both Bangladesh and India angry. The protests are being organized in various cities, including New Delhi, demanding action from the United Nations and the Indian government. In response to this injustice, ISKCON around the world has also been organizing kirtans and protesting against the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das and increasing attacks on Hindus.
