SpaceX Eyes Multi-Billion Dollar Pentagon AI Deal: A New Chapter in Defence Technology
Elon Musk's SpaceX is reportedly in talks with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) for a multi-billion-dollar agreement to provide massive computing power for military artificial intelligence applications. If finalised, the deal would significantly expand SpaceX's role beyond rockets and satellites, placing the company at the centre of America's next-generation defence AI infrastructure.
From Space Launches to AI Infrastructure
For years, SpaceX has been one of the Pentagon's most trusted partners, launching national security satellites, providing Starlink communications and supporting missile-tracking missions. The proposed agreement would take that relationship a step further by allowing the company to supply high-performance data centre capacity needed to train and operate advanced AI models for military and intelligence agencies.

Instead of focusing only on rockets, SpaceX is now building the infrastructure needed to support the global AI boom.
