Renault Duster 7-Seater: The Renault Group has officially announced its participation in the upcoming 2024 Paris Motor Show, where all of its brands, including Renault, Dacia, Alpine, Mobilize, and Renault PRO+, will unveil new cars. The group has planned seven world premieres and the debut of two concept cars. Among these, the most eagerly awaited model is the Renault Duster, which has been long-anticipated by fans.

7-Seater Duster: Bigger and Better

One of the highlights this year is that the new Renault Duster will be larger than before, moving into the C-segment category. Renault’s Dacia brand had previously showcased a concept of this SUV, and now, both the 3rd generation Duster and its 7-seater version are set to be revealed soon.

Competing with the Ertiga

In India, popular 7-seater models like the Maruti Ertiga and Kia Carens have captured significant market share. It is speculated that Renault may replace the Triber with the Duster, leveraging the Duster's well-established brand name. With a growing demand for 7-seater cars in India, Renault could use the Duster’s popularity to appeal to a broader audience. The original Duster was a highly popular SUV in its time, and Renault is expected to capitalize on this legacy.

Design Overhaul

According to media reports, Renault is rapidly working on the new Duster. The model could be launched by the end of this year or during the 2025 Auto Expo. The new version will feature several major design upgrades, including a redesigned front grille, new bonnet, and updated bumpers. Additionally, the side profile and rear look will be completely revamped, offering a fresh and modern appeal.

Engine and Features

The interior of the new Duster will be more premium, with several new features expected to be added. It is speculated that the Duster will come with engine options including 1.0L, 1.2L, and 1.5L hybrid engines. The company may price the model under ₹10 lakh. Safety features will include 6 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), cruise control, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The new Duster will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater variants.

Renault is positioning the new Duster to meet the growing demand for spacious, family-friendly SUVs, offering modern features and a stylish new design to appeal to a wide range of customers.
