Vi Network Down? Services Now Restored in Delhi, Mumbai & Pune
Vodafone Idea services faced a brief outage in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Pune on April 18 due to a technical glitch. The issue is now resolved, says the company.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) customers in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Pune reported temporary network disruptions early Friday morning, April 18. The outage, which occurred around 12:30 am, resulted from a technical failure that the company assures has been addressed.
A Vodafone Idea representative confirmed the update:
"Our network services were temporarily affected in NCR in the early hours of Friday because of a technical glitch. The glitch has been rectified and all services have returned to normal."
Downdetector Records Spike in Complaints
Downdetector, a site that tracks real-time service faults, reported that users complained most around 1:01 am, with more than 1,940 reports. The majority of complaints were about users not receiving any signal or experiencing a total network shutdown.
The information revealed that the outage impacted users mainly in:
- New Delhi
- Gurgaon
- Noida
- Ghaziabad
- Faridabad
- Mumbai
- Pune
Breakdown of User Complaints:
- 71% reported "No Signal"
- 21% saw a "Total Blackout"
- 9% had mobile internet issues
Annoyed users vented their frustrations on X (formerly Twitter). One user wrote, "Are people still using Vi (Vodafone Idea)? It appears the network is down entirely."
