According to an official police release, the arrested suspects were found to have entered into India several years ago with the intention of settling down in the country through illegal infiltration. During the investigation process, they were found to have entered West Bengal into India and obtained all sorts of fake identity documents such as Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and labor cards, in Kolkata. These later on moved around in different states, giving them easy access to various job opportunities. Recently, the gang had come to Chitradurga city for work.

During the operation, the police seized a variety of forged documents from the suspects, including fake Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, labor cards, bank passbooks, PAN cards, and one passport. All of them have been seized for further investigation and proceedings.

The authorities said that these individuals would be prosecuted through provisions of law in India. The police are inquiring into the networks that had let these people enter into India illegally and the production of false identity documents. This is a milestone in the much-sorting issue of illegal infiltration and the use of counterfeit identity papers to access resources and employment in India. It has raised the issue of border security and the ease of obtaining forged documents, with a need for more stringent actions to control such illegal immigrants into the country for national security purposes.
