With heavy downpours wreaking havoc across the state for the past week, farmers are worried about their submerged crops, houses are crumbling, and life as we know it has been turned upside down. Residents are now pleading for a break, but the meteorological department has grim news: the rain will continue for another five days!

As of October 21, Bangalore is experiencing relentless rain, causing chaos in several districts. The Silicon City has been hit hard, and people are left scrambling as the deluge shows no signs of easing. C.S. Patil, a meteorologist from the weather department, confirmed that heavy rains are expected to persist until October 23, with the city in for a soaking.

Where’s the Rain Falling?

According to the latest reports, extensive rainfall has been recorded in various regions, including:

Uttara Kannada: 11 mm
Udupi: 9 mm
Haveri: 10 mm
Davanagere: 8 mm
In Bangalore city alone, about 17.7 mm of rain has poured down, with the HAL airport area recording 10.8 mm. Surrounding districts like Bangalore Rural saw 25 mm, while other areas like Bagalkote and Shettihalli experienced lesser amounts.
