Meet India’s Youngest Millionaire Ekagrah Rohan Murty: Narayana Murthy's Grandson Receives Rs 240 Crore Infosys Stake

Philanthropist Sudha Murty and Infosys founder Narayana Murthy have made headlines once again, this time for their grandson, Ekagrah Rohan Murty, who has become one of India’s youngest millionaires. The Murthy family recently gifted a share worth Rs 240 crore to their four-month-old grandson, Ekagrah, making him the owner of a 0.04% stake in Infosys, equivalent to 1.5 million shares.

This gift has not only boosted the baby’s net worth but has also slightly reduced Narayana Murthy's personal stake in Infosys from 0.40% to 0.36%. Ekagrah, born in November 2023, is the third grandchild of the Murthy family, and his name signifies focused determination, much like the legendary Arjuna from the Mahabharata.

Infosys Legacy

Founded by Narayana Murthy in 1981 with just $250, Infosys has grown into one of India’s most respected and successful companies. Known for its pioneering role in technology and consulting services, Infosys has set benchmarks in innovation and corporate governance, making the Murthy family’s legacy even more impactful.
