UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024: This is the new exam date by the commission
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) announced the rescheduled date of the PCS Prelims 2024 exam, scheduled earlier on March 17. It was rescheduled thrice already-as first scheduled on October 26-27, then it was fixed on December 7-8 and now dated to December 22, 2024. This latest reschedule occurred after the agitation by the candidates' protests in Prayagraj demanding further revisions.
UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024, New Exam Date
The pattern of the examination is also changed according to the feedback given by the students. Now, the two-day examination will be held in a single day within two shifts without the normalization process. Instead, there will be one shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and next shift will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates are asked to keep visiting the official website of UPPSC for all updates.
Admit Card Details
The UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024 admit card will be declared fifteen days before the date of the exam, and the candidates can download it by their registration number as well as by their date of birth. The admit card with any valid ID proof is to be produced on the date of the examination in the respective examination hall. Candidates without it are not allowed to enter the examination hall. Exam Pattern As far as the pattern of the UPPSC PCS Prelims exam is concerned, it contains two papers: Paper 1 General Studies 1, having 150 questions with a total of 200 marks; Paper 2 General Studies 2, comprises of 100 questions with a total of 200 marks. Both the papers are going to test the knowledge and the analytical skills of the candidates on a varied level of topics.

Change undertaken by the UPPSC is to make the process smoother and address concerns of candidates.
