In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, she expressed her amazement at the terminal's beauty and unique design.

Exploring the Unique Features of Terminal 2

Upon landing, Kiki was quick to explore the airport terminal. She was captivated by its modern lounge areas, spacious waiting zones, and vibrant food joints, all designed to offer a seamless travel experience. The use of bamboo in the construction, including the check-in counters, caught her eye. "India’s best airport terminal! Everything built with bamboo—even the check-in counters," she wrote in her post’s caption. The text on the video read, “Can't believe I was in the airport in India.”

Terminal 2’s design has earned it global recognition. The terminal was awarded the ‘Special Prize for an Interior’ by UNESCO’s Prix Versailles, an esteemed architectural awards jury based in Paris. This prestigious honor recognizes the terminal for its exceptional and innovative design, which perfectly blends modernity with nature.

A Tribute to Bengaluru’s Green Legacy

Built at an estimated cost of Rs 5,000 crore, Terminal 2 is more than just an airport—it is a tribute to Bengaluru, known as the "Garden City." The terminal features over 10,000 square meters of green walls, hanging gardens, and outdoor gardens, offering passengers a calming experience reminiscent of a walk in a lush garden.
