Maharashtra Election 2024: Amit Shah Challenges to Sharad Pawar and Congress on Article 370

The more election day draws near, the more political tension reaches high levels in Maharashtra. Contesting the attack made by Rahul Gandhi against the BJP, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah countered on Friday, November 8, 2024, targeting Congress and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance. He strictly said that he will not scrap Article 370 and showed reference to the recent ruckus in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. He said, Sharad Pawar and Congress support Article 370, but I want to make it clear that even if their future generations attempt it, Article 370 will never return. Amit Shah continued to allege that Congress was practicing "appeasement politics". He talked about the Ram Temple and said that for 75 years Congress had stalled the construction of it. "Rahul Gandhi wouldn't go to Ayodhya because he's afraid of losing vote banks, Shah said. He made it clear that the BJP is not afraid of such issues and has the pride in projects like Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the construction going on with gold at Somnath Temple. He further reiterated that the rule of the BJP alone can put an end to the appeasement politics.

Later, Karad, Satara, he lauded Shivaji Maharaj and said, The whole country boasts of Shivaji Maharaj, and Satara has been a land of warriors." He said Rahul Gandhi was spreading "lies" about the Agniveer scheme and accused him of trying to brainwash the people. "Rahul Baba, our promises are not like yours. Narendra Modi's promises are there in stone, he said while referring to the BJP's promises as similar to those that Congress has made in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana.
