Kartik Purnima holds immense significance for Hindus. This day is considered auspicious because, as it is believed that on this very day, one can please Lord Vishnu and subsequently, Goddess Lakshmi showers their blessings upon him. Kartik Purnima Puja Vidhi
On Kartik Purnima, devotees are believed to wake up before time, clean their home, and offer water to the Sun God. If possible, they should bathe in a holy river. Put idols or photographs of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, decorate them with flowers, fruits, clothes, and lamp them by chanting mantras. And lastly, finish the worship ceremony with donation to the downtrodden.
Significance of Kartik Purnima
Kartik Purnima is an avowed day when Lord Vishnu had incarnated as Matsya Avatar to save the sages and rishis. This day, however, is also observed as the birthday of Lord Kartikeya, who is considered to be the son of Lord Shiva.
