PM Modi’s National Unity Day Message: ‘Unity is Safety’—A Stand Against Divisive Forces in India!

On National Unity Day at Kevadia in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reminded one and all of the strength of India. While addressing the nation, he also condemned the individuals and groups opposing the message of "Unity is Safety" and the spirit of unified India because some forces, whether within India or outside India, feel challenged by India's rising power and growing unity.

Modi's remarks reflect apprehension over the idea of disrupting India, which is not only spreading falsehoods and creating polarization on every subject but also regarding the Indian army and even social order.

Emergence of New Threats of Disintegration

PM Modi stated that a few sections of society have been trying to create anarchy by making differences among castes and classes. Referencing the propaganda wars that never end, he said these forces are actually working to create divisions in the Indian military. "There are forces," he said, "who want a weakened India and work toward a divided society because it suits their political interests. For decades, they have thrived on politics that keeps India economically and socially vulnerable."

Aware of the Urban Naxal Influence

Prime Minister Modi cautioned further on the impact of the "urban Naxals" and challenged the people to be alert on their networks and ideas while urging people to be more vigilant about these groups and their ideologies. As per Modi, these alliances by the urban Naxals want to threaten further national unity due to the controversial tags put on the requests made for national cohesion. "Now, singing songs of unity or proclaiming the sentiment that 'unity is safety' has become the goal," he said. What he observed is that unity advocates are often castigated or distorted by such forces.

Modi said, though these are obstacles, people singing a patriotic song like "Hind Desh Ke Niwasi," while emphasizing unity among India's multiculture, are being very bothered by the kind of resistance some people were giving.

This idea alone is a huge threat for India, he said while speaking about the next 25 years of building enduring unity for India.

The Next 25 Years: A Vision for Unity and Progress

Reflecting on the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Modi again said that India has to strive to be the land of a single, steadfast nation. He reminded one and all that India was blessed with diversity and not with weakness, and how that strength needed to be celebrated and preserved in order for national unity to strengthen. Considering the next 25 years as a pivotal period toward social cohesion for India, Modi said this period itself would lay the foundation stones for a prosperous, developed, and harmonious country.

"Unity is the road to fast economic development, a developed India, and a socially cohesive country. We need to base our lives on this unity, fight falsehoods, and defeat every effort at dividing."

In conclusion, the PM's speech sounded very much as a stern reminder for India to march forward, with all Indians as a symbol of strength. The appeal to Indians should remain vigilant against such divisive narratives and work toward the vision of a united, strong, and developed India.
