PM Modi Warns Maharashtra, Stay United or Congress Will Seize Your Quotas

PM Narendra Modi delivered a sharp attack on the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi, during a rally in Chimur, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, on Tuesday. As he addressed the gathering, Modi branded the MVA as the biggest players of corruption, accusing it of keeping the state behind.
PM Modi Criticizes MVA
Saying the rapid development Maharashtra registered was out of their reach, he said that this very reason was why their governance had been an obstacle.Modi further went on to say Congress party, part of the MVA, was the "double PhD" in obstructing development. The prime minister targeted the inefficiency and corruption he attributed to the alliance, that they had acquired the "braking development" art. He brought attention to the coalition's failure to deliver on its promises and the negative impact on the state's overall progress.
Modi, during his speech, said that MVA has become synonymous with corruption. He added that, "Aghadi yani Bhrastrachar ke sabse bade khiladi" that is, "Aghadi means the biggest players of corruption." He further criticized the leadership of MVA and questioned how much it cared for the welfare of the people of the state. The speech was also an appeal to garner maximum support for BJP in the elections ahead. It portrayed the opposition as ineffective and corrupt.

The PM's attack on the opposition alliance is the move ahead of the state's main polls, when the political heat in the state has touched sky-high and BJP and MVA are both trying to make the political soil of Maharashtra tighter.
