Uttar Pradesh PCS Exam 2024: Fresh Date Declared for 22nd December; Now Has Undergone Multiple Postponements
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the new date of UP PCS Exam 2024. The newly scheduled date for this exam, which had the inconvenient delay and protest from the candidates, is now scheduled on 22nd December 2024 instead of the originally scheduled dates of 7th and 8th December 2024. It would be conducted on a single day with two shifts: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for the first shift and 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for the second shift.
This will bring great relief to UP PCS aspirants who had, earlier, drawn extreme dissatisfaction over the exam being held over two days. Following the series of protests that took place outside the UPPSC headquarters in Prayagraj, the commission decided to fulfill the candidates' demand to hold the exam over just one day only.
Earlier, the UP PCS Preliminary Exam 2024 was scheduled to take place in March. But it got rescheduled because RO/ARO paper leak is dated 11th of February. Still, there were some more rescheduling followed by those dates in June and October also resulting in postponement. The protest after the decision of conducting the exams in December resulted in the ultimate decision of conducting the exam on 22nd December 2024 with two sessions only.
